Hassan Mardani and Loqman Pishyar, two political prisoners, were released from Bukan prison.
According to Kolbarnews, today, Saturday, September 14, 2025, Hassan Mardani and Loqman Pishyar were freed from Bukan prison.
These two citizens from Bukan had previously been sentenced by Branch 101 of the Bukan Criminal Court to three years in prison each, on charges of “membership in and collaboration with one of the opposition parties to the Iranian government.” The report did not specify the legal process that led to their release.
The two men had been arrested on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, to serve their prison terms, and transferred to Bukan prison.
Mr. Mardani and Mr. Pishyar were initially detained on August 10, 2023, by security forces in Bukan without a judicial warrant. About two months later, they were released on bail.
Hassan Mardani, 67, and Loqman Pishyar, 60, are residents of Bukan.
