Bukan: Manijeh Khoshnoud Sentenced to 10 Months in Prison

Manijeh Khoshnoud, a resident of Bukan, has been sentenced to 10 months of imprisonment by Branch 101 of the Criminal Court in the city.

According to Kolbarnews, the court’s ruling was issued by Branch 101 of the Criminal Court of Bukan and was officially communicated to Manijeh Khoshnoud on Saturday, October 12, 2024. She was sentenced to 10 months in prison on charges of “propaganda against the regime.”

Manijeh Khoshnoud, 56 years old, was arrested by security forces on July 31, 2023. After completing her interrogation in one of Urmia’s security detention centers, she was transferred to Bukan Prison. She was temporarily released on bail from Bukan Prison on Thursday, September 5, 2023.

During her detention, Manijeh Khoshnoud was denied access to a lawyer and visitation with her family.
