Bukan; Commemoration of March 8, International Women’s Day

A group of freedom-seeking and equality-driven women and men in Bukan held a ceremony in an outdoor location outside the city to mark March 8, International Women’s Day.

According to Kolbarnews, the event took place on Friday, March 7, 2025, beginning with a performance of The Internationale, the anthem symbolizing global worker solidarity. Attendees then observed a moment of silence in memory of those who lost their lives in the struggle for freedom and equality.

Following this, one of the activists present delivered a speech on the history and significance of March 8, after which participants engaged in discussions about women’s rights and the challenges they continue to face.

The event space was decorated with banners and placards displaying slogans in support of women’s rights, political prisoners, and opposition to the death penalty.
