Arak–Borujerd: Road Worker Killed in Car Accident

A road maintenance worker, Bahram Naderi, lost his life after being hit by a vehicle on the Arak–Borujerd highway, near the Tureh area.

According to Kolbarnews, on Monday, March 17, 2025, Bahram Naderi was flagging vehicles during an asphalting operation when he was struck by a passing car.
The severity of his injuries was so great that he succumbed to them after being taken to the hospital.

Bahram Naderi was a contracted road worker under the Shazand County Road Maintenance and Transportation Administration in Markazi Province.

In 2023, 2,115 workers (2,094 men and 21 women) lost their lives due to work-related accidents, marking an 11.3% increase from the previous year’s 1,900 fatalities.

Iran ranks 102nd globally in workplace safety standards, making it one of the most dangerous countries for workers, where many laborers face fatal accidents due to a lack of proper safety measures.
