According to Kolbarnews, on the evening of Monday, January 5, 2026, at least six residents of Songhor were arrested by security forces and taken to undisclosed locations. These arrests occurred amid heightened security pressure on citizens and local activists, and no precise information is available regarding the detainees’ fate, the reasons for their arrest, or their physical condition.
The identities of those arrested have been reported as Amir Farhadi, Mehdi Bagheri, Bahar Rafiei, Asal Begovand, Yasin Hashemtiyan, and Alireza Abdi. According to the report, Asal Begovand was injured during the course of these arrests.
