Kamyab Karimi, a 19-year-old citizen from Marivan, has been detained since early December 2025 and, after more than fifty days, remains in complete uncertainty.

According to Kolbarnews, on Wednesday, December 24, 2025, Kamyab Karimi was arrested by government forces at his aunt’s home in Marivan. After his arrest, he was held in detention without access to basic rights and was transferred on Saturday, February 7, 2026, to the detention center of the Sanandaj Intelligence Department.
According to received information, this citizen has been deprived of the right to family visits and access to a lawyer for the past 54 days. The continued lack of information about his condition and the lack of transparency by security institutions regarding the reasons for his arrest have raised serious concerns about his physical and psychological health and the possibility of pressure to extract forced confessions.
Kamyab Karimi’s family has so far received no clear response regarding possible charges or the status of his case, and their follow-ups have remained unsuccessful.
