Mahabad: Vahab Khediripour Sentenced to Ten Months in Prison

Vahab Khediripour, a resident of Mahabad and a member of the families seeking justice in the Jinah Revolutionary Movement, has been sentenced to ten months in prison.

According to Kolbarews, Vahab Khediripour, a 32-year-old citizen of Mahabad, was sentenced by the Islamic Revolutionary Court of Mahabad to ten months of imprisonment on charges of “collaborating with an opposition party.”

On Wednesday, January 30, 2025, Khediripour was arrested after being summoned to the Intelligence Office in Mahabad. Earlier, on Sunday, January 27, 2025, security forces had raided his home and searched the premises.

He was temporarily released on March 19, 2025, after posting a 500 million toman bail, pending the completion of legal proceedings. During his detention, Vahab Khediripour was denied access to a lawyer and family visits. After interrogation, he was transferred from the Intelligence Detention Center to Mahabad Prison.

Vahab Khediripour, who is married and the father of two children, is also the cousin of Shamal Khodiripour, one of the victims of the Jinah Revolutionary Uprising.
