Yazd: Death Toll from Tabas Mine Accident Rises to 53

Following the death of Kazem Nakhaei, one of the injured from the tragic coal mine accident in Tabas, the death toll has reached 53.

According to Kolbarnews, Kazem Nakhaei, a resident of the Anabad district in Bardaskan county, had been hospitalized at Sadooghi Hospital in Yazd, where he passed away a few hours ago.

In an interview with reporters, his wife expressed sorrow over the tragic incident and criticized officials for neglecting her family’s situation, stating that during her husband’s hospitalization, no officials from Bardaskan, Yazd, or Tabas had inquired about his condition.

The explosion at the Tabas coal mine occurred on September 22, 2024, and is recorded as one of the deadliest mining accidents in Iran.
