Piranshahr: Citizen Sentenced to 24 Months in Prison

Ahad Mahmoud Hassan, a resident of Piranshahr, has been sentenced to 24 months in prison by the Revolutionary Court of Mahabad.

According to Kolbarnews, Ahad Mahmoud Hassan, a resident of the village of “Kileh Sipan” near Piranshahr, was sentenced by Judge Mahmoudi of the Revolutionary Court in Mahabad. He was charged with “collaboration with an opposition party of the Iranian government.” On Saturday, December 21, 2024, he was transferred to Naqadeh Prison to serve his sentence.

Ahad Mahmoud Hassan was initially arrested on May 4, 2020, by security forces. He was temporarily released on June 10, 2020, after posting bail of 400 million Tomans, pending the completion of judicial proceedings.
