Younes Tanhaei, a political prisoner held in Mahabad Prison, has been sentenced by the Revolutionary Court of Mahabad to 20 months and one day in prison.

According to Kolbarnews, Younes Tanhaei, currently imprisoned in Mahabad, has received a sentence of 20 months and one day.
This verdict was recently issued by Branch 1 of the Mahabad Revolutionary Court, presided over by Judge Yaser Gozli, and formally communicated to Mr. Tanhaei.
Based on the court’s ruling, he was convicted on charges of “membership in and collaboration with an opposition party.”
In late June 2025, Younes Tanhaei was arrested by security forces and later transferred to Mahabad Prison after a period of detention.
Mr. Tanhaei is married and the father of two children, and a resident of Mahabad.
