Mahabad: Naser Ahmadzadeh arrested to serve prison sentence

Naser Ahmadzadeh, a resident of Mahabad, was sent to prison in this city to serve his 15-month prison sentence.

According to Kolbarnews, on Saturday, August 16, 2025, Naser Ahmadzadeh, a citizen from Mahabad, was sent to Mahabad Prison to serve his sentence.
He had previously been sentenced by the Mahabad Revolutionary Court to 39 months in prison on the charge of “acting against national security through cooperation with an opposition party.” After submitting to the ruling, his sentence was reduced to 15 months.

On January 27, 2025, Ahmadzadeh was arrested at his home by security forces without a judicial warrant. He was later released from Mahabad Prison in March of the same year after posting bail.

Mr. Ahmadzadeh has previously faced arrest and judicial action for his activities. On August 14, 2022, he was arrested by security forces and released from Mahabad Prison in September of that year after posting bail.

Naser Ahmadzadeh is 33 years old, married, and the father of two children.
