Labor Incident: Two Workers Injured in a Tunnel Collapse

A tunnel collapse at the Kohbanan coal mine sent two workers to the hospital.

According to Kolbarnews, on the morning of Sunday, May 18, 2025, Tunnel No. 20 at the “Hamkar” coal mine in Kohbanan County collapsed, resulting in injuries to two mine workers.

Rescue teams quickly arrived at the scene and began emergency operations. Fortunately, both injured workers were promptly evacuated from the tunnel and transferred to medical centers for treatment.

According to the latest reports from hospital sources, both workers are in stable condition.

The exact cause of the incident remains unknown, and expert investigations are currently underway to determine the reason for the collapse.
