A Sukhtbari vehicle, along with its cargo, was attacked and stolen by armed robbers on the Zahedan-Khash highway.

According to Kolbarnews, in the early hours of Thursday, February 6, 2025, a group of armed robbers chased and fired at a Baloch Sukhtbari vehicle on the Zahedan-Khash route, forcing it to stop before stealing it.
According to the report, the robbers repeatedly fired at the vehicle, targeting its front tires to bring it to a halt. After stopping the car, they physically assaulted the driver and stole both the vehicle and its fuel cargo.
Local sources stated that no one was seriously injured in the incident, and the Sukhtbars driver was later transported to Khash with the help of a passing citizen.
Sukhtbari considered one of the unconventional and dangerous occupations that many Baloch people in Balochistan are forced to engage in due to the lack of suitable and stable employment opportunities. Accidents, vehicle overturns, and direct shootings by military and security forces are some of the dangers that threaten the lives of Sukhtbars. According to reports by Baloch activists, in 2024, at least 240 Baloch Sukhtbars lost their lives due to shootings by military forces, traffic accidents, and vehicle fires, while 135 others were injured in these incidents, 19 of whom were children.
