Urmia: Jafar Esmailnejad Released on Bail

Jafar Esmailnejad, a resident of Oshnavieh, has been released on bail from one of Urmia’s security detention centers.

According to Kolbarnews, on Saturday, August 24, 2024, Jafar Esmailnejad, a resident of Oshnavieh, was temporarily released on a bail of two billion tomans while awaiting the completion of his legal proceedings. The report also mentions that his son, Soroush Esmailnejad, who was expected to be released recently, remains in custody without any progress towards his release.

Jafar Esmailnejad and his son Soroush were arrested by security forces on August 7, 2024, at their family home in the village of Deh-Shams, near Oshnavieh.
