Urmia: Arrest of Three Citizens by Security Forces

Three residents of Urmia were arrested by security forces during a nighttime raid and taken to an undisclosed location.

According to Kolbarnews, on the evening of Monday, May 26, 2025, Raena Khorran and Rozhan Khorran, two sisters from Urmia, along with their uncle Jalal Farrokhi, residents of the “Ziveh Margavar” neighborhood, were arrested following a night raid on their home by security forces.
They were taken to an unknown location without the presentation of any judicial warrant.

As of the time of this report, there is no information available regarding their whereabouts, health conditions, or the charges brought against them. Efforts by their families to obtain information have so far been unsuccessful.

It is worth noting that these three individuals had previously been summoned and detained in April of this year due to their participation in organizing Nowruz celebrations in Urmia.
