Two Baloch Sukhtbars were killed and injured after their vehicle caught fire due to direct gunfire from military forces.

According to Kolbarews, on the evening of Saturday, April 12, 2025, military forces opened fire on a Sukhtbari vehicle near Aspich, Saravan. The vehicle overturned and caught fire, resulting in the death and injury of its two occupants.
The deceased has been identified as Parviz Kharkouhi, 30 years old, son of Ghader, married and father of two, originally from Zahedan. The identity of the injured Sukhtbar has not yet been confirmed.
According to the report, Parviz was the assistant in a Toyota pickup used for fuel transport. Military forces fired at the vehicle near the village of Aspich, causing it to overturn and ignite. According to the source, due to severe injuries, Parviz was unable to escape the vehicle and died in the flames. The driver was thrown out during the crash and is currently in a coma due to the severity of his injuries.
Sukhtbari considered one of the unconventional and dangerous occupations that many Baloch people in Balochistan are forced to engage in due to the lack of suitable and stable employment opportunities. Accidents, vehicle overturns, and direct shootings by military and security forces are some of the dangers that threaten the lives of Sukhtbars. According to reports by Baloch activists, in 2024, at least 240 Baloch Sukhtbars lost their lives due to shootings by military forces, traffic accidents, and vehicle fires, while 135 others were injured in these incidents, 19 of whom were children.
