According to Kolbarews, the crash caused the Sukhtbari vehicle to overturn, killing the Sukhtbar driver on the spot.
Two of the motorcycle’s riders also lost their lives due to the severity of their injuries, while a third person sustained serious injuries and was transferred to medical care.

The deceased Sukhtbar was identified as Jalal Mazarzehi, 30, son of Mazar, and a resident of Khash.

The identity of the injured motorcyclist remains unknown at the time of reporting.

The incident highlights ongoing dangers faced by Sukhtbars and residents in border regions, where unsafe road conditions and the risks of unofficial trade routes frequently lead to fatal outcomes.

Sukhtbari considered one of the unconventional and dangerous occupations that many Baloch people in Balochistan are forced to engage in due to the lack of suitable and stable employment opportunities. Accidents, vehicle overturns, and direct shootings by military and security forces are some of the dangers that threaten the lives of Sukhtbars. According to reports by Baloch activists, in 2024, at least 240 Baloch Sukhtbars lost their lives due to shootings by military forces, traffic accidents, and vehicle fires, while 135 others were injured in these incidents, 19 of whom were children.
