Saravan: At Least 7 Afghan Migrants Killed and Dozens Detained Following Border Guards’ Gunfire

According to Kolbarnews, on Friday, November 13, 2025, IRGC and border guard forces in Saravan set up several ambushes in border areas and opened direct fire on groups of Afghan migrants attempting to enter Iran. As a result of the shootings, at least seven Afghan migrants were killed, and several others were injured.

According to the report, dozens of migrants were also detained and transferred to the Al-Ghadir camp in Zahedan, and were deported to Afghanistan on Saturday.

Sources told that the gunfire targeted groups consisting of women, men, and teenagers, and the intensity of the shooting was such that several individuals died at the scene.

Local sources also report the continued detention of Afghan migrants along the Saravan border region, stating that military forces have been controlling migrant routes by setting up temporary checkpoints and scattered ambushes.

At the time of this report, the identities of the victims and the exact number of injured remain unknown.
