Nariman Randani, a civil activist from Saqqez, has been temporarily released from prison after posting bail.

According to Kolbarnews, on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, Nariman Randani, a civil and media activist from Saqqez, was temporarily released from prison after posting bail of 6 billion rials (600 million tomans) until the completion of the investigation.
After undergoing interrogation at the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Intelligence Detention Center in Sanandaj, known as “Shahramfar Base,” he was transferred to Saqqez Prison.
Nariman Randani, 35, and his brother Milad Randani, 30, were arrested in Saqqez on Thursday, January 23, 2025, one day after a widespread strike by shopkeepers and merchants in several Kurdish cities protesting the issuance of death sentences. Their arrest took place without a judicial warrant.
On Wednesday, January 22, 2025, shopkeepers and merchants in various Kurdish cities, including Sanandaj, Saqqez, Kamiyaran, Divandarreh, Marivan, and Bukan, went on strike, suspending their daily activities in protest against death penalty rulings.
