Chiako Rezaei and Azad Hajimirzaei, two citizens from Sanandaj, remain in limbo at the city’s Intelligence Department detention center. It has been 64 days since Rezaei’s arrest and 24 days since Hajimirzaei’s arrest.

Despite the passage of time 64 days for Chiako Rezaei and 24 days for Azad Hajimirzaei. they remain in an uncertain legal state inside the Sanandaj Intelligence Department detention center. Both are denied access to a lawyer and family visits, and despite bail being set, they are still under interrogation.
Azad Hajimirzaei, a resident of Sanandaj, was arrested by security forces on October 15, 2025. Chiako (Chiya) Rezaei, a well-known martial arts athlete, was arrested earlier on September 4, 2025.
Azad Hajimirzaei, from the village of Babariz in the Sanandaj area, has a prior record of arrest due to his previous activities.
