Sousan Razani, a civil activist and one of the prominent and long-standing figures of the women’s movement in Sanandaj, was summoned to the Intelligence Office and interrogated.

According to Kolbarnews, on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, Sousan Razani, a civil activist and a well-known and experienced figure of the women’s movement in Sanandaj, was summoned to the Intelligence Office and interrogated. In another report, Kolbar News had already announced the summons and interrogation of three other civil and trade activists: Simin Chaychi, a well-known Kurdish poet and civil activist; Fatemeh Zandkarimi, an activist of the teachers’ movement; and Marziyeh Moradveysi, a civil activist from Sanandaj.
According to this report, the summons of these activists was related to the third anniversary of the death of Jina Amini and the Jina Revolutionary Movement. Security forces threatened these activists and warned them not to take part in any gatherings on the third anniversary of the Jina Revolutionary Movement.
Earlier, on January 6, 2025, an interrogation session was held for Sousan Razani together with six other labor and environmental activists in Branch 2 of the Prosecutor’s Office of the Public and Revolutionary Court of Sanandaj. She defended herself against the charges of “propaganda against the regime and disturbing public opinion” and was released on bail after being formally charged.
On December 25, 2024, Sousan Razani, a prominent and long-standing women’s movement activist and a member of the Chalachmeh Mountaineering Group in Sanandaj, was summoned by the Police Intelligence Office and released after several hours of interrogation and threats.
On October 29, 2022, during widespread arrests by security forces in Sanandaj, Sousan Razani was arrested and taken to an unknown location. Finally, on Sunday, November 13, 2022, after 16 days of detention, she was temporarily released from Sanandaj Prison on bail until the completion of legal proceedings.
Previously, on May 1, 2008, during International Workers’ Day commemorations, Sousan Razani was arrested by security forces. Later, Branch 101 of the Sanandaj Criminal Court sentenced her to nine months of suspended imprisonment for three years and 70 lashes. Ultimately, the flogging and prison sentence of this civil activist were carried out on February 18, 2009.
On April 13, 2014, Sousan Razani, along with a number of labor activists and members of this committee, was summoned by the Sanandaj Intelligence Office, where she was explicitly threatened by interrogators.
