Sanandaj; Summoning of Seven Civil Activists to Court

Seven civil activists from Sanandaj have been summoned to Branch 2 of the Public and Revolutionary Prosecutor’s Office in the city on charges of “disrupting public order and peace.”

According to Kolbarnews, Sohrab Jalali, Kamal Fakourian, Mokhtar Asadi, Fatemeh Zandkarimi, Jamal Asadi, Jamil Amini, and Zahra Mohammadi received a summons on February 17, 2025, giving them five days to appear before the court and present their defense.

A knowledgeable source stated that the reason for their summons is their civil and labor-related activism. These individuals have previously faced summonses, arrests, and judicial sentences for their activities.

This news comes amid increasing pressure on civil activists in various cities across Iran in recent months.
