The report states that on the morning of that day, after appearing at the department, he was interrogated for several hours and then released.
The reasons for his summons remain unclear, though it is believed to be similar to the interrogation of his mother. Some time ago, Naheya Rahimi, the mother of Mr. Fatehi, was also interrogated, during which she was warned not to participate in any memorial events related to the anniversary of those killed in the Jina Revolutionary Movement.
Veria Fatehi is the brother of Ramin Fatehi, a victim of the Jina Revolutionary Movement in Sanandaj. Ramin Fatehi, approximately 50 years old and a citizen of Sanandaj, was arrested in October 2022, along with his sister and brother during the nationwide protests. On October 21, 2022, he died under torture in one of the security detention centers of the city.
