On the same day, Kamal Akhereti, a resident of Sanandaj, was also arrested by security forces under similar circumstances. He was taken to an undisclosed location.

The strike on Wednesday, January 24, 2025, saw shopkeepers and merchants in multiple Kurdish cities, including Sanandaj, Saqqez, Kamiyaran, Divandarreh, and Marivan, shut down their businesses in protest against death sentences.

As of this report, no official information is available regarding the charges against Mohammadi and Akhereti.
