Seven labor and civil rights activists from the city of Sanandaj were tried in Branch 1 of the Revolutionary Court of Sanandaj.

According to Kolbarews, on Monday, April 7, 2025, Seyed Khaled Hosseini, Jamal Asadi, Eghbal Shabani, Fardin Mireki, Sheith Amani, Farshid Abdollahi, Arman Salimi, and Sousan Razani stood trial on charges such as “propaganda against the regime” and “disturbing public order and peace.”
The report states that acts such as carrying symbols associated with Komala, singing the “Internationale anthem” and other political songs, and participating in the funeral of Dayeh Farasat (Jafar Qeshlaghi) a justice-seeking mother figure in the Kurdish revolutionary movement were cited as examples of alleged offenses in the case.
During the trial session, the defendants rejected the accusations and defended their labor, environmental, and social activities, stating that these were lawful and within their civil rights.
It’s worth noting that their interrogation sessions were previously held in January 2025 at the Sanandaj Revolutionary Prosecutor’s Office. After being formally charged, all were temporarily released on bail.
As of the time this report was compiled, no final verdict had been issued by the court.
