Chiako Qorbaei, a civil activist from Sanandaj, was tried in Branch 1 of the Islamic Revolutionary Court of this city.

According to Kolbarews, on Wednesday, April 10, 2025, Chiako Qorbaei faced charges such as “propaganda against the regime” and “disturbing public order and peace” in Branch 1 of Sanandaj’s Islamic Revolutionary Court.
The report states that activities cited as evidence in the case included carrying symbols affiliated with Komala, singing the “Internationale” and other political songs, and attending the funeral of Dayeh Frasat (Jafar Qeshlaqi), one of the justice-seeking mothers of the Kurdish revolutionary movement.
During the court session, Qorbaei rejected the charges and defended his civil and union-related activities.
The court informed him that the final verdict would be delivered in the coming days.
It is worth noting that just a day earlier, on April 8, 2025, a court session was also held for seven other labor and civil activists from Sanandaj Seyed Khaled Hosseini, Jamal Asadi, Eqbal Shabani, Fardin Mirki, Sheith Amani, Farshid Abdollahi, Arman Salimi, and Sosan Razani facing similar charges in the same court.
