Sanandaj: Continued Detention and Uncertainty for Three Protesting Truck Drivers in Prison

Sediq Mohammadi, Kaveh Moradian, and Rezgar Moradi, three protesting truck drivers, remain in uncertain detention in Sanandaj prison ten days after their arrest.

According to Kolbarnews, Sediq Mohammadi, Kaveh Moradian, and Rezgar Moradi are still in custody.
These three protesting truck drivers were arrested ten days ago and have since been held without clarity regarding their legal status in Sanandaj prison.

They were arrested separately on May 27, 2025, by security forces.
Their detention followed their support and participation in the nationwide truck drivers’ strike.

Rezgar Moradi was arrested on the Sanandaj–Marivan road. Sediq Mohammadi was detained by intelligence agents on one of the streets of Sanandaj, and Kaveh Moradian was also arrested in Sanandaj.

As of the time of this report, there is no information available regarding the charges against these individuals.

The truck drivers’ protests in Iran began on May 22, 2025. Since then, dozens of truck drivers and citizens supporting the strikes have been arrested in various cities across Iran.
