Sharifeh Mohammadi, a labor activist, remains in indefinite detention at Lakan Prison in Rasht more than 160 days after her arrest.
According to Kolbarnews, Sharifeh Mohammadi is still in custody.
Despite the passage of 166 days since her arrest, she remains in an uncertain state in the quarantine ward of Lakan Prison.
Although the investigation into Sharifeh Mohammadi’s case has concluded, her temporary release has not yet been granted.
Sirus Fathi, Sharifeh Mohammadi’s husband, stated that on Friday, May 17, 2024, prison officials prevented her family from visiting her despite traveling a long distance for the meeting.
Sharifeh Mohammadi was arrested by intelligence agents at her home on December 5, 2023.
She was transferred from Lakan Prison in Rasht to Sanandaj Prison on December 30, 2023, and was eventually returned to Lakan Prison. After three months in solitary confinement, she was moved to the general ward of Lakan Prison. It is also noted that Sharifeh Mohammadi was beaten after being transferred to Sanandaj Prison.
