Suleiman Qadergelwan, the brother of Abdolsalam Qadergelwan, one of those killed during the Jina revolutionary movement in Oshnavieh has been arrested by security forces and taken to an undisclosed location.

According to Kolbarnews, on Monday, June 23, 2025, Suleiman Qadergelwan, brother of Abdolsalam Qadergelwan, a victim of the Jina revolutionary uprising in Oshnavieh, was arrested by the city’s security forces and transferred to an unknown location. The report states that the arrest was carried out without the presentation of a judicial warrant.
It is noteworthy that security forces gained access to this citizen’s Instagram account and published posts in support of the Islamic Republic.
As of the time of this report, no information is available regarding the reasons for the arrest, charges brought against him, or his place of detention.
On Sunday, July 9, 2023, Suleiman Qadergelwan had previously been arrested by Oshnavieh’s security forces and transferred to one of the city’s detention centers.
Abdolsalam Qadergelwan, who had been severely injured during the protests in Oshnavieh on September 21, 2022, died on September 26, 2022, due to the severity of his injuries at a hospital in Urmia.
