Oshnavieh; 6 citizens sentenced to 124 months in prison

Hasan Shadab, Kaveh Khakinahad, Jamal Hosseinnezhad, Mahmoud Ghaderi, Mansour Farash, and Kamiyar (Kamal) Oghabi, six citizens from Oshnavieh, were collectively sentenced to 124 months in prison.

According to Kolbarnews, in recent days six citizens by the names of Hasan Shadab, Kaveh Khakinahad, Jamal Hosseinnezhad, Mahmoud Ghaderi, Mansour Farash, and Kamiyar (Kamal) Oghabi were sentenced by the Revolutionary Court of this city to a total of 124 months in prison.

Based on the ruling delivered to these citizens, Hasan Shadab was sentenced to 3 years in prison, Kaveh Khakinahad, a resident of the village of Sofian, to 20 months in prison, Jamal Hosseinnezhad, a resident of the village of Sargiz, to 20 months in prison, Kamiyar (Kamal) Oghabi, a resident of the village of Balagir, to 20 months in prison, Mahmoud Ghaderi, a resident of the village of Sargiz, to 16 months in prison, and Mansour Farash, a resident of the village of Sargiz, to 12 months in prison. These six citizens were sentenced on charges of “collaborating with one of the opposition parties” and “propaganda against the regime.”

These citizens, except for Kamiyar Oghabi, who had previously been arrested on Friday, June 26, were arrested at dawn on Wednesday, July 8, in several separate operations without judicial warrants at their homes and transferred to one of the intelligence detention centers in Urmia.

On Sunday, August 16, all six of these citizens were released from Oshnavieh Prison on bail after 38 days of detention and interrogation.
