Two Baloch Sukhtbars were killed and injured by gunfire from Pakistani military forces in the border area of Rajeh.

According to Kolbarnews, on Monday, June 2, 2025, two Baloch Sukhtbars were shot by Pakistani border forces in the Rajeh border area.
The deceased Sukhtbar has been identified as Mohammad Taha Roshanzehi (Shahnawazi), 15 years old, son of Nazar.
The injured Sukhtbar is Jasem Roshanzehi, 26 years old, son of Hossein and uncle of Mohammad Taha. Both are residents of the village of Garanchein in Khash County.
The two were crossing the border through the Rutak border region of Mirjaveh when they were targeted by Pakistani border forces. As a result of the shooting, Mohammad Taha was struck in the head and chest and lost his life, while Jasem was injured.
Sukhtbari is considered one of the unconventional and dangerous jobs that many Baloch people in Balochistan have been forced to turn to due to the lack of suitable and stable employment. Accidents, vehicle overturns, and direct gunfire from military and security forces are among the dangers that threaten the lives of these Sukhtbars. According to reports from Baloch activists, in the year 2024, at least 375 Baloch Sukhtbars have been injured or lost their lives due to shootings by military forces, traffic accidents, and vehicle fires. Of this number, 240 Sukhtbars were killed and 135 were injured, representing a 55% increase in the number of killed and injured Sukhtbars compared to the year 2023.
