Six residents of Miandoab have been collectively sentenced to 18 months and 6 days in prison by Branch 101 of the Miandoab Criminal Court (Section Two).
According to Kolbarnews, Sediq Abbasnejad, Behzad Barjasteh, Keiyvan Borjasteh, Mobin Majidzadeh, Nima Ghorbanzadeh, and Khalegh Rahimi were each sentenced to three months and one day of discretionary imprisonment on charges of “propaganda against the Islamic Republic.”
The verdict, issued on October 16, 2025, by Judge Valaei, has been officially communicated to the defendants.
In March 2025, these six citizens were arrested by security forces in Miandoab and subsequently released after one month on bail from Urmia Prison pending their trial.
