Shahab Tavan, a citizen from Miandoab, has been sentenced by the Criminal Court of this city to three months and one day in prison.

According to Kolbarnews, Shahab Tavan was sentenced to imprisonment by Branch 101 of the Second Criminal Court of Miandoab County on the charge of “propaganda against the regime.” The court issued a verdict of three months and one day of discretionary imprisonment.
Shahab Tavan is a resident of Ebrahimabad village, a district of Miandoab County. He has previously faced arrests and judicial actions due to his activism.
It is worth noting that handling cases related to the charge of “propaganda against the regime” falls under the jurisdiction of the Revolutionary Court. However, due to the absence of a Revolutionary Court in Miandoab County, such security-related cases are usually referred to the Revolutionary Court of Urmia, and after review and issuance of a verdict, they are returned to the Miandoab Criminal Court for execution.
