Mahabad: “Hossein Borke” Sentenced to Imprisonment and Exile

“Hossein Borke” has been sentenced to three years and six months in prison and one year of exile to Urmia by the Mahabad Revolutionary Court.

According to Kolbernews, based on a recent verdict issued by the Mahabad Revolutionary Court and delivered to Mr. “Hossein Borke” in Naqadeh Prison, he has been convicted of “membership in opposition parties to the regime” and sentenced to three years and six months in prison, along with one year of exile to Urmia.

On November 22, 2023, “Hossein Borke” was detained after appearing in the interrogation branch of Piranshahr Courthouse and transferred to Naqadeh Prison. Later that year, on November 24, he was transferred from Naqadeh Prison to the detention center of Urmia Intelligence Department and subsequently returned to Naqadeh Prison.

“Hossein Borke” is a resident of “Soghanloo” village, located within the jurisdiction of Piranshahr, who was also detained by security forces in October 10, 2023, and released shortly after.
