Mahabad: Construction Worker Dies Amid Lack of Workplace Safety

Due to unsafe working conditions and the absence of proper safety measures, a construction worker in Mahabad lost his life after falling from scaffolding.

According to Kolbarnews, on Monday, May 26, 2025, a construction worker in the village of Qom Qaleh near Mahabad died after falling from scaffolding. The victim has been identified as Ebrahim Rasoulzadeh, 24 years old, and a resident of Qom Qaleh.

It is worth noting that in 2024, at least 2,042 workers lost their lives due to workplace accidents in Iran, and at least 16,113 workers were injured.

Iran ranks 102nd globally in terms of compliance with workplace safety standards, an alarmingly low position.
