Pouya Nasiri, a 23-year-old resident of Mahabad, has been arrested by security forces and transferred to an undisclosed location.
According to Kolbarnews, on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, security forces raided Pouya Nasiri’s shop without presenting a judicial warrant and detained him.
It is noteworthy that his brother, Pouria Nasiri, was previously arrested on Thursday, June 19, 2025, in Mahabad without a court order. After 19 days in temporary detention, he was released on July 8, 2025, upon posting bail. Later, on August 24, 2025, the First Branch of the Mahabad Revolutionary Court sentenced Pouria to three months in prison on charges of “propaganda against the government.”
