Seyed Kamal Ebrahimi and Younes Tanhaei, two citizens from the cities of Naqadeh and Mahabad, have been arrested by security forces in Mahabad and transferred to an unknown location.
According to Kolbarnews, on Saturday, June 28, 2025, Seyed Kamal Ebrahimi, a 31-year-old resident of Naqadeh and a lecturer at the Mahabad Nursing University, was arrested by agents from the Ministry of Intelligence who raided his workplace at the university without presenting a judicial warrant, and subsequently transferred him to an undisclosed location.
In a separate report, Younes Tanhaei, a resident of Hamzeh-Abad village, a suburb of Mahabad, was also arrested by security forces in recent days and taken to an unknown location.
Several days after the arrests, family efforts to obtain information about their whereabouts have been unsuccessful, increasing concern over the situation of both detainees.
As of the time of this report, no information is available regarding the reasons for their arrests, their place of detention, or the charges filed against them.
