Mahabad; A Citizen Sentenced to Six Months in Prison

Omid Rahesh, a citizen from Mahabad, was sentenced to six months in prison on the charge of “propaganda against the regime.”

According to Kolbarnews, in recent days, a citizen named Omid Rahesh from the village of “Kuseh Kahriz” in Mahabad County was sentenced by Branch 1 of the Islamic Revolutionary Court of this county to six months in prison for “propaganda against the Islamic Republic of Iran.”

This citizen was arrested by security forces on the morning of Saturday, June 21, 2025, and transferred to the IRGC Intelligence Detention Center in Mahabad for interrogation.

Ultimately, after completing the interrogation process, he was transferred to Mahabad Prison and, after 33 days in detention, was temporarily released on bail of 1.5 billion tomans.
