In two separate incidents in the cities of Farahan and Qiamdasht, three workers lost their lives due to a lack of workplace safety measures.
According to Kolbarnews, an Afghan construction worker in Qiamdasht was severely injured after falling from the fifth floor of a building under construction into an elevator shaft. He was taken to the hospital but later succumbed to his injuries.
In another incident in Farahan County, two well-diggers, aged 37 and 50, died of gas poisoning while working in a sewage well. Unfortunately, both workers died before rescue teams could arrive.
Iran ranks very low globally in terms of workplace safety, holding the 102nd position among countries.
