Labor; Death of two workers due to lack of workplace safety

In the shadow of the absence of workplace safety and unsuitable working conditions, two workers lost their lives in Bukan and Sardasht.

According to Kolbarnews, on Saturday, November 1, 2025, a craftsman identified as Mohsen Kake-Reshi, a resident of Bukan County, lost his life after falling from a crane at one of the workshops in the Bukan Industrial Town.
Mohsen Kake-Reshi, aged 44, was married and the father of two children.

Also, on Friday, October 31, 2025, a worker identified as Yousef Othmani, a resident of Dermanabad village, a district of Sardasht County, lost his life after falling into a well while working. Yousef Othmani, aged 50, was married and the father of two children.

It should be noted that in the year March 2024–March 2025, at least 2,042 workers lost their lives due to work-related accidents, and at least 16,113 workers were injured as a result of workplace incidents.
Iran ranks 102nd among countries of the world in terms of compliance with occupational safety standards, which is a very low ranking.
