According to Kolbarnews, on Monday, October 7, 2024, a coal miner from the Tazareh region, working for the Eastern Alborz Coal Company, lost his life after being trapped in a tunnel.
The identity of the worker has been confirmed as Mehdi Pakdel.
Reports indicate that the worker sustained serious injuries while working in the “Mother Tunnel” (Eclon Winch) after being trapped behind a wagon. Despite being transferred to Velayat Hospital in Damghan, he succumbed to his injuries.
It is worth mentioning that Iran ranks low in global occupational safety standards, holding the 102nd position worldwide.
