In recent days, the security institutions of the Islamic Republic of Iran have carried out a character assassination and direct death threats against Saeed Amani, journalist, political activist, and member of the board of directors of KolbarNews.
According to this report, during recent years, the security forces of the regime have repeatedly summoned the family of Saeed Amani in Bukan to the Intelligence Office of this city, and in the latest case, while threatening them, have warned that if he continues his media and political activities, they will “take physical elimination action” against him.
Simultaneously with this threat, bodies affiliated with the government of Iran, by publishing fake news and raising fabricated moral accusations, have tried to destroy the image of this journalist and political activist. Among these false news items is the baseless claim about the “deportation of Saeed Amani’s wife from Germany to the Kurdistan Region” after ten years of residence in that country.
KolbarNews has strongly condemned these threats and destructive actions and has considered the Islamic Republic of Iran directly responsible for maintaining the health and physical safety of Saeed Amani.
It should be reminded that Saeed Amani is a former political prisoner who spent five years of his life in the prisons of the Islamic Republic, and since 2003, due to life-threatening dangers, has been forced to leave Iranian Kurdistan. He is currently residing in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq and continues his media and political activities in the field of defending freedom of expression and the rights of journalists.
During the past four decades, the Islamic Republic of Iran has assassinated dozens of political activists, journalists, and members of Iranian Kurdish parties on the soil of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.
