Seven Kurdish citizens from the cities of Sanandaj, Sardasht, Dehgolan, and Mahabad were arrested by security forces and transferred to unknown locations.
According to Kolbarnews, the arrests occurred as follows:
Monday, January 27, 2025:
Mehdi Javanmardi and Farhad Zandi, civil activists from Dehgolan, were detained by the local intelligence office and taken to an undisclosed location.
Chiako Ghorbaei, a resident of Sanandaj, was also arrested by security forces in the city and transferred to an unknown location.
Sunday, January 26, 2025:
Arsalan Mirki and Farshad Seyedi, two citizens of Dehgolan, were detained by local security forces and taken to an unknown location.
Saturday evening, January 25, 2025:
Mansour Moloudpour, a resident of Mahabad, was arrested by security forces at his workplace in the city’s hospital and transferred to an undisclosed location.
Tuesday, January 21, 2025:
Hassan Khalili, a retired teacher and civil activist from Sardasht, was arrested by security forces. After enduring two days of detention and alleged torture, he was released on Thursday, January 23.
No official information about the charges against these individuals or their current whereabouts has been made available.
