Kermanshah: Arrest of Javad Azizi, Retirees’ Rights Activist

Javad Azizi, a retired citizen and activist for retirees’ rights, was arrested by security forces in Kermanshah and transferred to the Intelligence Ministry’s detention center.

According to Kolbarnews, citing the Iranian Teachers’ Union Coordination Council, on Sunday, September 8, 2024, Javad Azizi, who has been active in advocating for the rights of retirees, was arrested at his home in Kermanshah. Security forces also confiscated his mobile phone during the arrest.

As of the time of this report, no information has been released regarding the reasons for his arrest or the charges against him.
