Two young Sukhtbars, lost their lives after their vehicle overturned and caught fire on the Kerman-Bam highway.

According to Kolbarnews, on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, a Sukhtbari vehicle overturned and caught fire on the Kerman-Bam highway, resulting in the deaths of both young Sukhtbars in the flames.
The identities of the two Baloch Sukhtbar have been confirmed as Mohammad Rohandeh, 18 years old, son of Khaled, and Siros Damani, 22 years old, son of Osman both residents of Iranshahr.
The report states that the two Sukhtbars were transporting gasoline on the Kerman-Bam route when their vehicle veered off the road, overturned, and caught fire at around 3:00 AM. Due to the severity of their injuries, they were unable to escape and tragically lost their lives in the flames.
Sukhtbari considered one of the unconventional and dangerous occupations that many Baloch people in Balochistan are forced to engage in due to the lack of suitable and stable employment opportunities. Accidents, vehicle overturns, and direct shootings by military and security forces are some of the dangers that threaten the lives of Sukhtbars. According to reports by Baloch activists, in 2024, at least 240 Baloch Sukhtbars lost their lives due to shootings by military forces, traffic accidents, and vehicle fires, while 135 others were injured in these incidents, 19 of whom were children.
