Behzad Karimi, an insulation (isogam) technician, lost his life due to severe burns sustained while on the job.

According to Kolbarnews, on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, in yet another tragic incident in unsafe work environments, Behzad Karimi, an experienced isogam technician, died as a result of severe burns while performing his duties. The incident occurred at a construction project in Kamiyaran County, once again highlighting the dangers and lack of adequate safety measures in many workplaces.
The Kamiyaran Construction Workers’ Association, in a statement, expressed deep sorrow over the tragedy and extended condolences to Mr. Karimi’s family, his survivors, and the broader worker community. The statement read:
“Unfortunately, workers are constantly the victims of unsafe working environments. We extend our condolences to the Karimi family and all workers, and we hope that by observing safety protocols, such tragic incidents can be prevented in the future.”
It is worth noting that in 2024–2025, at least 2,042 workers in Iran lost their lives due to workplace accidents, and at least 16,113 workers were injured.
Iran ranks 102nd in the world in terms of occupational safety standards a significantly low position.
