A collision between two vehicles on the Iranshahr-Delgan road resulted in the deaths of at least four people, including two Sukhtbars.
According to Kolbarnews, on the night of Monday, February 3, 2025, a severe crash between a Sukhtbari Samand sedan and a Toyota Hilux led to the Toyota catching fire. At least four passengers from both vehicles lost their lives due to severe injuries.
One of the deceased has been identified as Yousef Karamzehi, while the identities of the other victims remain unknown at the time of this report.
Reports indicate that the two vehicles collided head-on. Due to the fuel spilling from the Samand, at least two passengers in the Toyota were burned to death, while two passengers from the Samand succumbed to their injuries after the accident.
Some sources suggest that the Toyota Hilux had three passengers, all of whom perished in the fire. Resanak is currently investigating these reports.
Sukhtbari considered one of the unconventional and dangerous occupations that many Baloch people in Balochistan are forced to engage in due to the lack of suitable and stable employment opportunities. Accidents, vehicle overturns, and direct shootings by military and security forces are some of the dangers that threaten the lives of Sukhtbars. According to reports by Baloch activists, in 2024, at least 240 Baloch Sukhtbars lost their lives due to shootings by military forces, traffic accidents, and vehicle fires, while 135 others were injured in these incidents, 19 of whom were children.
