Islamic regime security forces have arrested Lotfollah Parvizi, a teacher and union and environmental activist from Gilan Gharb, and despite several days passing, his whereabouts and condition remain unknown.
According to Kolbarnews, in the middle of the night on August 14, 2024, security agents raided the home of this civil activist, arresting him and confiscating all communication devices belonging to him and his wife. The violent nature of the raid was so intense that Mr. Parvizi’s wife fainted from the shock.
Sources also report that security forces have threatened Mr. Parvizi’s family and relatives to prevent them from spreading the news of his arrest. So far, there is no information available about his condition or location.
Lotfollah Parvizi is a well-known activist in the fields of cultural unions and environmentalism in the Gilan Gharb region. He has consistently advocated for the rights of teachers and the environment. His arrest is seen as part of the ongoing crackdown on civil and union activists in Iran.
