Dehgolan: Teacher Amjad Bakhtiari Sentenced to Imprisonment and Flogging

Amjad Bakhtiari, a teacher from Dehgolan, has been sentenced to imprisonment and flogging by the Revolutionary Court of Dehgolan.

According to Kolbarnews, Amjad Bakhtiari, a teacher in the Dehgolan Department of Education, was previously arrested during the Jina Revolutionary Uprising. He was sentenced by the 102nd Branch of the Dehgolan Criminal Court to one year of discretionary imprisonment and 74 lashes on charges of “disrupting public order and peace” and “propaganda against the regime.” This sentence has been suspended for two years.

Additionally, Bakhtiari was recently interrogated and threatened by the Intelligence Department for meeting with the families of the martyrs of “Women, Life, Freedom” Previously, he was also demoted by the Administrative Violations Board of Kurdistan Province for “participating in protests” and “insulting Khamenei.”

Amjad Bakhtiari was arrested by security forces on the morning of Tuesday, October 3, 2024, and was temporarily released on bail after some time.
