Dehgolan: Ongoing Detention and Uncertainty Surrounding Mehdi Javanmardi

One week after the arrest of Mehdi Javanmardi, a civil activist from Dehgolan, he remains detained in one of Sanandaj’s security detention centers with no updates on his status.

According to Kolbernews, on Monday, January 27, 2025, Mehdi Javanmardi was arrested by security forces in Dehgolan and transferred to an undisclosed security facility in Sanandaj. His arrest was carried out without a judicial warrant.

Despite the passage of a week, no information has been provided regarding his condition, causing growing concern among his family.

Javanmardi had previously been arrested during the “Jina” revolutionary uprising and sentenced to 69 months in prison.
